With North Valley Research's (NVR) Video Viewing System (VVS), users toview and manipulate video in an X Window System environment. VVS workswith video boards from vendors such as Parallax Graphics, Inc. andcompressed digital video. VVS currently works with NVR's MPEG compressionsystem; future versions of VVS will support other compressed videoformats.VVS makes possible the creation and manipulation of full-motion videowindows that behave like any other window on the display. The windows canbe moved, resized, occluded, and iconified. In addition, VVS includessingle frame, fast forward, reverse, pan and zoom and image capturefeatures.. Developer options to VVS make possible the integration of VVSinto other applications.
